Potato Manchurian

Potato Manchurian is a spicy and juicy recipe like gobi Manchurian. We can feel different tastes with potatoes, as usually we use potatoes to make fry or gravy or we add it as one of the ingredients in some other curries.

Instead of using it as an ingredient in other curries, for a change and feel its original taste, we can make it the main ingredient and prepare a recipe that too very delicious. For that change only, I prepared the recipe potato Manchurian.

Here I am sharing it, in a simple and easy step-by-step method. You can also try it by yourself and share your experience which will help me to prepare more recipes.

Ingredients

  • 200g Baby Potatoes
  • 3/4 cup Flour (Maida)
  • 1 tbsp Corn Flour
  • 2 Capsicums
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp Ginger – Garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 3 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soya sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp chili sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Directions

  • First, take a vessel and boil the potatoes till they become soft.
  • Make a smooth batter of maida, corn flour, 1/2 tsp ginger–garlic paste, and salt using water.
  • The batter should be neither too flowy nor too thick. It should be dipping consistency.
  • Peel boiled potatoes and dip each potato in the batter. Deep fry till golden brown.
  • Then take a nonstick pan and heat oil, add ginger garlic paste and saute on low flame for a minute add chopped onions along with chopped capsicums and fry for 3 to 4 minutes or till onions turn into golden brown color, then add tomato puree, tomato ketchup, chili sauce, vinegar, salt, pepper and saute for 3 to 4 minutes on low flame.
  • Now add deep-fried potatoes and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on low flame.
  • The hot and juicy potato Manchurian is ready to serve.
  • You can garnish it with a few coriander leaves and sliced green chilies.

Gobi Manchurian Recipe

Gobi Manchurian recipe is one of my and all the Indian’s favorite veg recipes, it is one of the Chinese recipes we need to taste in our life. We can serve gobi Manchurian as a side dish with rice or Dhaba items. Even gobi or cauliflower is a good healthy food so everybody can try this recipe on their own and enjoy its taste.

Now let’s see, what are the ingredients and procedures to prepare the Gobi Manchurian Recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium size Gobhi or Cauliflower
  • 3/4 cup of Maida Flour
  • 1 tbsp of Corn Flour
  • 2 dried red chilies
  • 2 Chopped green chili
  • 1/4 tsp of red chilly powder
  • 1 tbsp of Ginger – Garlic Paste
  • 1 cup of finely Chopped Spring Onions
  • 1/4th tsp of Ajinomoto
  • 2 tbsp of Soya
  • 2-3 tbsp of Tomato Sauce
  • 1 capsicum cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp of Oil
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt to taste

Making Method of Gobi Manchurian Recipe


First, take the gobi or cauliflower and cut it into medium size pieces.


In a bowl add maida, corn flour, 1/2 tbsp of ginger–garlic paste, 1/4 tsp red chilly powder, and salt to taste, mix them well and add the water to prepare a batter. The batter should not be too flowy or too thick, it should be medium flowy, like the bhaji batter.


Now dip the gobi or cauliflower pieces in the batter and mix well.


Then take a pan and heat the oil to deep fry, then put the gobi or cauliflower dipped batter in the pan like pakora and fry till golden brown color.


After the gobi or cauliflower turned into a golden brown color, take out from the pan and put it in a paper tissue layered bowl to observe the excess oil and keep it aside for a while.


Parallelly take another pan and heat 2 tbsp oil and add left ginger – garlic paste, dried red chilly pieces, and chopped green chilies to it.


Stir the fry for a movement and add capsicum pieces and salt, stir it for a while and add chopped onions, Ajinomoto, soya sauce, and tomato sauce and mix thoroughly.


Now add fried gobi or cauliflower and sprinkle corn flour, toss well and fry for a minute and turn off the gas.


Take out into a bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves for a tasty look.

Hot Sour Soup

Hot sour soup is a healthy and full-nutritional recipe to have before lunch or dinner. Even you can have it in the evening time or can take it as diet food. According to scientifical nutritional values, all the ingredients used to prepare hot and sour soup are very good for our health to maintain our diet chart.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsps of Chilly Sauce
  • 1 and1/2 tbsps of Corn Flour / Corn Starch
  • 1 tbsp of Soya Sauce
  • 2 tbsps of Tomato Sauce
  • 2 tbsp of Vinegar
  • 2 tbsps of Chopped Capsicum
  • 2 tbsps of Chopped Spring Onions
  • 2 tbsp of Chopped Carrots
  • 1/4 cup of Chopped Cabbage
  • 1 tsp of Black Pepper Powder
  • 1/2 tsp of Sugar
  • A pinch of Ajinomoto
  • chopped Coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 cups of Water

Preparation of Hot Sour Soup

  • Take a vessel and 4 cups of water, chilly sauce, soya sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, and Ajinomoto, and boil them.
  • Now add all the vegetables and cook for a minute.
  • Then dissolve corn flour in 1/2 cup of water and to soup, stir it to become thick.
  • Cook for a while and garnish with coriander leaves.
  • The hot sour soup is ready to serve.

Indian Masala Pasta

Usually, in my home, we used to make Maggi pasta or some other instantly available pasta. But, one day I think of making pasta with my own ingredients and method. I collect the what are all the ingredients they are using to make the pasta masala for reference and then I tried of myself and made it successfully as tasty.

Actually, I don’t know how to name it. While serving my family members asked me what the recipe is. I said, I don’t know?, Then they only taste it and said the name was Indian Masala Pasta.

Here I am sharing this recipe with all of you, to have a great taste and experience.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups of Pasta
  • 1 tsp Sambar Powder
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 Cup of Mixed Vegetables
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • Curry leaves of your choice
  • 1/4 tsp of Pav bajji masala

Directions

  • First cook the pasta as per instructions on the pack and drain the water and keep it aside.
  • Chop the onions, tomatoes, and all vegetables. Generally, we can use baby corn, carrots, capsicum, green peas, and cauliflower.
  • In a pan heat the oil and pour the mustard seeds along with curry leaves and fry for one minute.
  • Then add sliced onions and fry till onions turn to golden brown color, then add tomatoes, and cook on medium flame till tomatoes are cooked.
  • After that add chopped veggies and sambar powder, salt to taste turmeric powder, and pav bhaji masala.
  • Mix the all ingredients and cook till the vegetables get cooked, make sure that vegetables are not cooked over.
  • Add the cooked pasta to this. Before adding the pasta run the pasta in cold water in a colander. This is to get moisture to the pasta.
  • Stir the whole recipe thoroughly and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on low flame.
  • The hot and crunchy Indian Masala Pasta is ready to serve.
  • If you want, you can serve it with tomato sauce.

Appam with Coconut Milk

Preparation and making method of Appam with Coconut Milk and preparation process of coconut milk.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of Rice
  • 1 Coconut
  • 1/2 cup of Cooked rice
  • 1 pinch of Cooking Soda
  • 1 tsp of Sugar
  • Salt to taste

Flour Preparation

Take a bowl with water and pour the rice, keep in mind that, the level of water should be more than the rice. Keep the rice aside for 2 to 3 hours to soak.


After that in the wet grinder mix rice, coconut, cooked rice, cooking soda, salt, and sugar, then grind the mix as dosa flour and leave the flour for more than 12 hours until it ferments and becomes a little sour.

Making method of Appam / Palappam

  • Take the appam pan heat oil on medium flame, then pour appam flour into the center with the help of a ladle.
  • Immediately spread the flour as a thin layer on the walls of the appam pan by swirling the pan.
  • Now keep the lid on the pan to cover it and cook for 3 to 4 mins.
  • Gently remove the appam from the appam pan with the help of the spatula.
  • Now the Tamil Nadu special recipe Appam or Palappam is ready to enjoy with coconut milk.
  • Serve the hot appam with coconut milk.
  • Coconut Milk Preparation
  • Grind 1 or 1/2 coconut, add a cup of water mix thoroughly.
  • Now drain the milk from the pulp.

Bengali Fish Curry

Bengali fish curry recipe is a famous recipe in the state of West Bengal, India as well as in North India. Here you will learn how to make Bengali fish curry in a few simple steps.

Ingredients

  • 2 tblsps. of lemon juice
  • 2 tbsps. of mustard oil for frying
  • 8 fish pieces
  • 1 tblsp of red chili powder
  • 4 red whole chilies
  • 1 tsp of mustard paste
  • 1 tsp of turmeric powder
  • 4 vertically sliced green chilies
  • 2 tblsp of coriander powder
  • 1 tblsp of garlic paste
  • 1 tsp of mustard seeds
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cup of chopped onions
  • 1 tblsp of ginger paste
  • 1 tsp of turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp of onion seeds
  • salt to taste


Directions


Take the fish pieces in a bowl, clean and wash thoroughly, remove excess water and mix with lime juice, turmeric powder, and salt. Keep aside for 40 mins.


Now in a pan put one tsbp of oil and heat it, then fry the fish pieces one by one on both sides, until golden brown color. After that take it out and keep it aside.


Heat the remaining oil, pour the mustard seeds, onion seeds, red chilies, and bay leaf, and stir the fry for a few minutes till the seeds crackle, then mix ginger – garlic paste and stir the fry again for a moment.


Add the chopped onions and stir the fry until the onions turn a golden brown color.


Then add mustard paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, and turmeric powder and stir the fry until the oil starts separating from the fry.


Now add water and salt to taste to the fry and bring to a boil, then add the fried fish pieces, also add green chili slices to the fry.
Stir the fry on a slow flame until the fish pieces get cooked and the oil starts floating on top of the gravy.


Finally, take the curry into a bowl and decorate it with green coriander leaves.
The spicy and tasty Bengali fish curry to serve.

Tofu Kabab – Tofu Recipes – Indian Tastes

The tofu Kabab recipe is one of the recipes I have tried from Tupperware monthly booklets, actually, I don’t know even what is tofu. and what it looks like? also, but when I saw the tofu kabab recipe in the booklet, my first thought was, what is tofu? and immediately I asked my sister, “what is tofu?”, who was beside me at that time. She again asked me “what is tofu?”, from that, you can know no one knows tofu in my family.

Finally, we both searched google and find answers to my question. Then only my bodies get cool down and we started to read the ingredients and making method of the tofu kabab recipe, after reading the full recipe, we decided to experiment with the tofu kabab.

The experience was awesome and the tofu kabab recipe was a very tasty snack item to eat before tea.

Ingredients

  • 150 gm tofu (grated)
  • 2tbsp Besan
  • 1tbsp Millet flour
  • 2tbsp kasoorimethi
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • 2 green chilies
  • 5-6 Mint leaves
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Oil

Directions

  • Roast besan, whole wheat flour, and millet flour in a frying pan, till aromatic, and changes color slightly.
  • chop green chilies and mint leaves in the smart chopper and keep them aside
  • Mix grated tofu, chopped chilies and mint leaves with the roasted flour. Add kasoorimethi, salt, lemon, and red chilies powder, and make dough using a little water.
  • Make balls and roll them in sesame seeds. Steam in an idle cooker for 6 mins from one side and 4 mins from another side.
  • Now the hot, steamy, and tasty tofu kabab is ready to eat.
  • Serve with mint chutney before tea time.

Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani

Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani, the name itself is tempting me to eat the biryani now. Hyderabad Biryani is such a kind of favorite and mouth-watering dish for all most all Indians. The making method of this Biryani itself is having its own style.

Now let’s see, what are the ingredients and procedures to prepare the Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani Recipe.

Ingredients

  • 500 gms whole chicken
  • 2 cups of basmati rice
  • 4 sliced onions
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 2 cups of yogurt
  • 2 tbsp of ginger-garlic paste
  • 5-6 chopped green chilies
  • 1 tsp of red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp of coriander powder
  • 1 tsp of green cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp of garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp of lemon juice
  • A pinch of saffron
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 4 tbsp ghee
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients for whole Garam Masala

  1. 1 bay leaf
  1. 1 black cardamom
  1. 2-3 peppercorns
  1. 1/2 inch cinnamon stick
  1. 1/2 tsp carom seeds
  1. 2-3 cloves
  1. 1 dried red chili

Making Methode

Wash the chicken and cut it into medium size pieces.

Take a bowl and add yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and lemon juice, mix well and then add chicken pieces with 2 spoons of cooking oil. Keep this mix in a fridge for 2 to 3 hours.

Now take a pan and heat the oil to deep fry the onions, deep fry the onions up until the onions turn into golden brown color after that take the onions out and keep aside to cool.

Then, in a mixer jar take half of the fried onions, chopped tomatoes, green chilies, ginger, garlic, mint leaves, and coriander leaves and grind them to become a smooth paste.

Add the saffron to milk and soak thoroughly and kept aside to use later.

Clean the rice with water and boil it in more water with a little bit of salt and whole garam masala.

Boil the rice up to 3/4th, then drain and keep in a mesh bowl. From the rice remove the whole garam masala ingredients, because they were just for flavoring the rice.

Now take the rice cooker and heat 2 tbsp of ghee and place half quantity of mixed chicken, on top of the chicken pour the rice like a layer to cover the chicken, then sprinkle some fried onions, cardamom powder, chopped coriander, saffron, and the remaining ghee.

Repeat the same process for the remaining ingredients, then cover the pan with a tight lid.

Then cook for 20 to 25 min on low flame, fluff up with a fork, and check the chicken, if it is cooked fully turn off the gas.

Finally, the tasty mouth-watering Hyderabadi chicken biryani or Hyderabad dum biryani is ready to serve.

You can serve it with raita or brinjal curry.

Bread Gulab Jamuns

  • turn on the flame and put a pan on it
  • add sugar and water
  • let it come to a boil, and boil it on a slow flame for 5-7 minutes
  • add cardamom powder
  • stir it and boil it on low flame for 8-10 minutes

Directions

  • in a bowl, crush all the bread
  • add 2tbsp milk and mash it
  • again add 2tbsp milk
  • add 2tbsp milk again and knead it into the smooth dough
  • take a small portion of prepared dough and make a ball
  • make all the balls in the same way
  • bread balls are ready to fry
  • heat the pan
  • add oil and let it heat
  • once the oil is heated, reduce the flame to slow
  • put all the bread balls into the hot oil one by one
  • fry it for a minute on low flame
  • gently flip the balls
  • increase the flame to medium and fry the balls till it turns golden brown
  • off the flame and take it out on the napkin to absorb extra oil
  • put all the fried balls in the sugar syrup
  • boil it for 2-3 minutes on low flame
  • turn off the flame
  • leave it for 8-10 minutes
  • take it out in a bowl
  • garnish with Pista (optional)
  • ready to serve
